We try to offer “something for everyone” on
Sunday mornings here at Dilworth. We are all called to Biblical learning
in Romans
15:4 “ For whatsoever
things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that
through patience and through comfort of the scriptures we might have
hope.” A Sunday School class can be more than a learning environment,
it can be a support group, a fellowship group and a safe place to
simply be with other Christians on the faith journey. We encourage
you to visit our classes as each has its own flavor and personality.
The Fellowship Class is our newest class which meets at 10am. It is geared towards members and guests 35 and under.
The Bowles Class meets
on the 1st floor of the Sanctuary the 2nd door on the left from the
Jones Building. This class is taught lecture style in depth
with the Bible using Cokesbury Adult Bible Studies curriculum. Class
begins with music, announcements & prayer concerns at 9:45AM.
The Journey Class meets
in the Board Room of the Jones Building. Journey uses life experience
through all kinds relationships to converse with Biblical texts.
Discussion, interaction based. Comfort in sharing life experience
is a must along the Journey. Class
typically begins at 10AM. Presently studying a video based program called “Victory & Peace
OR Justice & Peace?” ..
The Wayfarers Class meets
on the 1st floor of the Sanctuary the 1st door on the right from
the Jones Building. The Wayfarers consider social justice issues
foremost in whatever they study. This class is lively and
challenging. Typically begins at
10AM. Presently studying a video
based program called “Living the Questions”.
The X-plorers Class meets
on the 1st floor of the Sanctuary the 3rd door on the right from
the Jones Building. Highly interactive and engaging. Explorers
use the Biblical story as a basis for all discussion in order to
find and clarify one’s own faith. Class typically begins
at 10-10:15AM. Presently studying a video based program called “Christianity
and World Religions”.
The Possibilities Class meets
on the 1st floor of the Sanctuary the 2nd door on the right
from the Jones Building. Presently is a small group of women of all
ages studying a book called “Really Bad Girls of the Bible”.
Discussion, interaction based. Begins
at 10AM.
Faith in Action Class will meet once
a month on the first Sunday of the month beginning in October
in the multipurpose room in the Jones Bldg. This is a new class
that will be using the “Learn It Live It” Bible series.
Participants will be challenged to apply what they learn and really
live their faith! Begins at 10 AM.
