At
Dilworth, we believe our children are second to none and that the children are the future of this congregation. We offer a variety of activities
to meet the various needs of our children and are always looking for
new and exciting ideas. Below is just a sampling of the programs we
offer.

SPECIAL EVENTS:

Fall Festival: October 17, 2009
.
Harvest Festival is Dilworth’s annual fall celebration, with lots of entertainment and food for the whole family.

- Petting zoo
- Inflatable slide
- Moon bounce
- Pumpkin painting
- Face painting
- Hamburgers, hot dogs and a dessert table.

Dessert table proceeds will benefit missions for women and children.

Vacation Bible School: July 2010

ONGOING PROGRAMS:

Choir: Each Wednesday evening, our children ages 3 and up learn Bible stories and songs with Ms. Katie, Ms. Kimberly and Ms. Linda. Please join us for choir at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday following "Wonderful Wednesday" dinners. Everyone is welcome!!!.
Angel Choir - 3 and 4 year olds
Bethlehem Choir - K and 1st grade
Carolers Choir - 2nd - 5th grade
Chime Choir - 1st - 5th grade.
- Parents Group: Parents
of preschoolers meet the 3rd Wednesday of each month following our
Wonderful Wednesday dinner to discuss parenting issues from a faith-based
perspective. Childcare is provided.
- Confirmation: We offer
a Confirmation class for our 6th graders from September through May.
This 39-week study covers what it means to be a Christian and what
it means to beUnited Methodist. The class studies the history of
the church,Methodism and the local congregation, and spiritual formation.
At the end of the class, the children are given the opportunity to
become full members of Dilworth United Methodist Church. Confirmation
Sunday is usually on Pentecost Sunday.

Safe Sanctuary: Dilworth
United Methodist Church is a Safe Sanctuary congregation. We have a
policy regarding the safety of all children and youth.
This includes expectations for parents, children and volunteers, including
background checks for all volunteers. A copy of the policy is available
from the Minster of Education.

.Weekday Preschool : DUMC Weekday School is a part-time program that serves ages one through four. We operate on a Monday - Thursday schedule from 9 - 12:30. Two, three and four day a week options are available.
