From leadership in worship services to inspiring the congregation with lively tales of mission trips, our youth are an integral part of Dilworth United Methodist Church.
Youth Group
Youth Group is a time for fellowship, worship, and service on Sunday evenings. We meet from 5:30-7:00pm at the Youth House, unless noted otherwise on the calendar. Make sure to check the calendar for specific times and events!
Sunday School Sunday School meets from 10:00-10:45am in the Youth House. We have two classes that meet on Sunday mornings.
Our Middle School class, under the direction of Matt Warren, Mike and Elise Williams, and Rick and Katherine Brooks, meets in the "green room" for class. The Middle School class is currently studying the Skit Guys series.
Our High School class, under the leadership of Georgia Abernethy, Bonnie Little, Evan Kluttz, Dave Mildenberg, and Greg and Jennifer Snelson, meet for Sunday school in the main room.
All grades come together for breakfast and some fun before classes begin. Come out and join us during this hour of study!
Youth Missions Dilworth Youth thrive in helping others in and outside of the church. Missions are a vital part to our ministry. Dilworth Youth participate in Operation Christmas Child, 30 Hour Famine, Room in the Inn, and are also helping to plan the Church-wide Missions Day. We also attend Carolina Cross Connection during the summer. Youth help to raise funds to cover costs for our mission trip expense, and also raise money to cover their individual trip through stock.
Safe Sanctuaries
We are a Safe Sanctuary church and have policies in place that we practice to make sure that all children and youth are safe in this place. All teachers and leaders have been screened and trained so we know that our youth are in good hands.
